Fire Door Compliance Inspection.
Whilst damage to extinguishers may be obvious; such as tags removed or denting, impairment of fire doors can be harder to spot.
WHAT IS COVERED DURING A FIRE DOOR INSPECTION?
Fire door inspections consist of extensive checks of each individual fire door component. Inspections should be completed by a certified fire safety technician who is able to carefully assess each of the key components for faults, damage or wear.
Rannetic Scotland’s visual multiple-point fire door inspection assesses the passive protection features surrounding the door, as well as focusing on the doors structural integrity. It includes door frames, hinges, closers, apertures, glazing, seals and many more. In addition, fire safety signage is checked for clarity and compliance, in line with current regulations.
Fire Door Maintenance.
Although we all walk through fire doors frequently, it is easy to miss early signs of wear and tear. If not dealt with properly, the fire door could be compromised in a fire.
By maintaining your doors on a bi-annual basis you can ensure you do not miss any vital wear and tear to your doors that could lead to more extensive damage in a real fire situation.

Compartmentation Inspection.
The ravages of fire can be devastating, but the ability to hinder the spread of fire throughout a building is achievable if fire stopping methods are adhered to.
Plumbers run pipes, Electricians and IT engineers run cables. Each tradesmen has a job to do, but patching up the holes they have created can often be missed. Why would the hole need to be patched up when it won’t be seen above the suspended ceiling, in the roof void or in the service riser?... It’s because of FIRE.
Every small hole between one floor and another, or one compartment wall and another can have deadly consequences.
WHAT IS COVERED DURING A COMPARTMENTATION INSPECTION?
At Rannetic Scotland we inspect above and below, in and around, for any area that could result in a fire breaching in your building from one area to another. From this we will create a detailed report of what is required to protect what is yours from the ravages of fire.
Complete Fire Risk Assessment.
All non-residential premises where there are more than 5 people are required by law to have a fire risk assessment. However, unless you are a fully quality Passive Fire Inspector it can be easy to miss vital components that will render your building at risk of serious damage during a real fire situation and falling short of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005.
Without a Fire Risk Assessment written by a competent person, an insurance claim can be difficult if a fire was to break out.
WHAT IS COVERED DURING A COMPLETE FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT?
A fire risk assessment is a disciplined examination of premises, to highlight risks of fire occurring and the safety levels of the surrounding area.
The main aims of A Fire Risk Assessment are to:
Identify any Risks and Hazards in and around your building.
Evaluate what measures need to be put in place for the safety and protection of your building and its occupants.
Remove and Reduce these Risks to as low a level as possible in order to protect from loss.
Rannetic Scotland’s Fire Risk Assessment will highlight any areas where there is significant hazards and recommendations for improvement.
